The Web Access Symbol is used to designate web sites which have been designed following the Web Accessibility Guidelines as recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium and advocated by the National Center for Accessible Media.

These sites incorporate usability features, such as alternate text descriptions of images and style sheets, which allow users with disabilities to access the site with a minimum of difficulty.
