Homeless Ministry

This ministry operates year-round through two distinct efforts: Winter and Ongoing Outreach.

Winter Outreach runs from December 1 to March 31, supporting the Uptown Emergency Winter Shelter and Room in the Inn programs. One Sunday per month volunteers prepare and serve over 200 meals to the residents of the Emergency Winter Shelter. For Room in the Inn, a scattered-site shelter program, St. Ann’s supports the residence facility operating at St. Luke’s.

Ongoing Outreach supports the George Shinn Uptown Day Shelter monthly. Volunteers help with driving, cooking, washing laundry, serving, fellowship and some stay overnight with residence guests—being homeless with the homeless.
